..... is the fekin speed dependant volume on the Symphony unit!!!

If I want to turn the volume up or down I'm capable of doing it myself!

Anyone know how to turn this 'feature' off? Do I need VAG-com to do this?

OK, I've started it off - now your turn!

Do you have Bose? If you do, you're screwed.

If you don't, there should be a GALA setting in the menu of the stereo where you can adjust the sensitivity of the volume adjustments.

I have BOSE and still have the GALA setting

Really ?
How do you adjust the speed dependent volume ? I can't find any way to do this on my car.

Bear in mind this is with a Concert II rather than Symphony but...

Press and hold the Menu button until the screen changes to show "TP MEMO" (important to hold it until this happens)
Now press the button briefly three more times to get to the GALA setting.

Cheers, I'll try this.

I have Bose BTW - I hope you are wrong Eeef!!!

You do actually get used it eventually - took me about six months

Well I definitely have it on my Concert II + BOSE so it's not specifically a BOSE thing. Either it's the Symphony unit which doesn't do it or the specific combination of Symphony + BOSE, although I can't imagine why.

Anyone know if you can alter this setting with the RNS-E & BOSE?

yes there is a GALA setting on the RNS-E with BOSE

set-up default is 3 but you can go 0-6 I think , I have it and BOSE but have left it alone as I did also get used to it from when I had my Symphony

seems to only be the Symphony

Sorry to rub it in C_Audiboy

Ah cool, as long as I can tweak it on the new motor.

On my current Concert II + BOSE I have GALA set at 2

The solution is to just play your stereo REALLY LOUD ALL THE TIME!!!!!! Then the Gala doesn't get a look in :)

With an attitude like that you should be driving a Escort, Fiesta or a Corsa rather than an Audi A3.
