When was the 170 spec version of the 2.0 TDi released in the sport back ? I've seen a car forsale locally and its a 54 plate but supposedly a 170 version. Its cheap to at £13995

It wont be a 170 model mate. The 170 has only recently been launched.

Thats what I thought, I know the Golfs have only just started to come onto the market. Still at that price i might have a look but I expect it to have a few 00000's on the clock !

He might be pushing a 140 with a remap, as a 170

Has anyone driven both the 140 and 170PS diesels? What were your impressions of the 170PS unit compared to the 140?
