Just got my 2.0T Quattro S-Line yesterday, but I've noticed that there is no flashing LED to indicate the alarm is active.

I checked the manual, it says the LED should be located at the top of the dash, but I don't appear to have it.

It definetely has an alarm fitted - it's got the deact switches in the drivers door for interior coverage and the tilt sensor - and I've tested it by leaving the window down and sticking my arm in.

Has everyone else got an LED as per the manual???

Cheers folks,

Chris.

The LED is practivally impossible to see during the day.
At night if you look in the middle of the dash there are 2 black raised sections, one of those has a faint flashing red LED.

A lot of people have raised this in the past and it is indeed quite a pathetic LED!

Mine doesn't seem to flash all the time either.

God knows why they decided on it's placement or it's lack of brightness.
My A4's LED up on the driver's door trim (where the door lock used to be on older cars) was much better.
Okay, anyone will know the car has an alarm, but if you're going to have a visible deterrent,MAKE IT VISIBLE !
