So after trying several bulbs and units to no avail i found these
Audi Rear Number Plate Lights Replacement Retro LED Lamp A3 Hatchback 2010 (8P1) | eBay
The only trouble is they need slight modification to fit, yeah a bit daft buying a mod to then mod it to fit lol,after explaining they don't fit they offered me a full refund and told me to keep the lights so nice freebie. A small piece off plastic needs to be cut off easy to do with a dremmel, the side that clips in without the screw around 3mm.
The OEM screws are rubbish. Don't try to re-use them, nor replace with identical genuine parts from Audi. The ideal solution is M3x12mm marine grade socket cap screws which are only £1.25 inc p&p for 10. Here's the ebay link:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M3-3mm-A4-...item257f0c775b.
