Been to look at a couple of 08 plates S3's today. None had timing belt done and looking at their service manuals it says its due at 115K but no mention of years? Anyone know what's currently recommended? My TDI is 75K/5years. Cheers.

I was told by audi it is 4yrs or 60k which ever comes 1st?!

I think that's correct and in any case I always feel more would be chancing an engine.

Mine has never gone beyond 30k miles between changes but usually for other reasons.

Every 5 years (or 115k according to the handbook.)

Rough rule of thumb I go by is 5 years/75k. Whichever comes 1st. 115k seems a bit far.

In the same position myself.
Car is 3 and half years old with 58k miles on it. (S3 8P)
Just called Norwich Audi and they tell me its definitely 5 years and 75k miles.

I'm not totally convinced but with the water pump replacement, they offer a fixed price of £549.

I'm happy to have it done but would prefer not to throw money away if it is actually 5 years and 75k miles.
