    Top mount loose how too tighten whilst on the car ? Need allen key and spanner ??????

    Any clues or tips how to do this ? Knocking noise is so annoying
    A3 2.0TDI FWD sportback with GT1756 250.3bhp 336ft lb, forge boost hoses red, milltek decat system, BMC panel filter, golf gti edition 30 full front brakes brembo pads, black honeycomb grill, full oem s line kit + cupra r lip, LED side lights, OEM xenons, LED interior lighting, LED A8 number plate lights, boost gauge, alloy catch can with red hoses, FBSW, windows tinted, de-badged, now on air ride with chassis notch BBS CH

    swan neck spanner and a allen key might do it.

    Easiest option is to use an air gun.
    Other than that yeah swan neck spanner and Allen key.

    Got to be careful using an airgun while doing up that nut, can strip the threads on the strut quite easily.

    I only know because i did it on some brand new Koni shocks!

    Got to buy some swan neck spanner then one side just tightened with a wratchet spanner no allen key was needed weird

    Or.... Set of large mole grips with lots of paper (or possibly a flannel) in the jaws so when you tighten it up it doesn't mark the piston rod. Then use a normal socket on the top whilst holding the grips. Did mine like this caused no damage whatsoever & is still fine 15k miles later.
    TDI PD170 S-Line Sportback... 191.2bhp & 290lb/ft torque @ standard with an iffy turbo! No idea with the new one or Shark Stage 1 remap installed, DPF off Stage 1 ready to go, Suspension & wheels to be fitted... Still....
