Hi All,
1.4TFSI 62k (2010)
I experienced an issue for the 2nd time yesterday where under acceleration in 4th gear, the car stopped accelerating for about 5 seconds, then all of a sudden it took off again.
To me it felt like it had lost all boost/turbo power and had resorted back to a normally aspirated engine.
I took it to the local VW/Audi specialist who stuck it on the computer, however there were no fault codes at all.
I have been reading some posts on the web which suggest that the MAF sensor could be on it's way out, however when doing my investigations I cannot find a MAF sensor. It wasn't in the air box or in any pipes after the turbo upto the throttle body. I did manage to find 2 MAP sensors, one prior to the throttle and one in the 'box' at the back of the engine after the throttle body. Does my car have a MAF sensors or does it use the 2 MAP sensors to do the same job?
Has anyone experienced this before and if so what was your issues?
Thanks in advance for your answers/guidance.
Cheers
Nick
