Last time I was on here I was in a bit of car trouble. Timing went on my 2009 2.0 TFSI and I was quoted over £1000 to repair from a VW specialist.

After speaking with Colin the Assistant Service Manager, Audi offered to diagnose my car for free to see if the issue with the car was as I was describing it. They agreed the chain had 'stretched' and they made contact with Audi HQ about the problem to see if they can contribute to the repair cost. Few days later Audi Glasgow contacted me and told me that they will go ahead with the repair and it will be completely covered by them!

I was promised the car on a Friday, got a call on the day before saying they had accidentally missed a part on the order sheet and that it may be the Monday before I got my car back - Colin arranged for me to get a courtesy car for the weekend as I was promised a car back on the Friday.

Got the car back on the Monday and at the pleasant cost of £0 for the whole repair.

The main reason for this post is basically to post a good news story about Audi, as you only see the negative reviews online and I believed I was in for a nightmare after asking Audi for help with the repair. I can honestly say the service was great, I was always kept in the loop at each stage of the process, really surprised it wasn't a struggle at all.

Very happy with their customer service - I'm a bit late on posting this but I've just got an internet connection in the flat!

Nice to hear a story with a happy ending.
Glasgow Audi maintained my S3 before I purchased it and seemed very thorough.

well, looks like its my turn for this little 'issue'
2009 1.8tfsi
on 50k miles
am just getting it diagnosed, but been told could be excess of 3k
So would love to know how i can get the same result as above!

I was advised by Audi that our S3 timing belt needed changing at 60k or 5 years whichever is sooner. Just had it done at 66k and nearly a year after they advised!

thats good mate, was there last week and was terrible service was getting my s3 valued never even looked at it or anything as i was going up to test drive an s4 which was not even in yet as the site was not updated after being told car would be ready for 2 that day, waited for an hour n half before being seen, car still not there for further 2 weeks and value they gave was utter joke as well, even before then 2 years ago told them what i would like in s3 when they get any in and never received any calls - headed to derby audi for mine would not be going there again to be honest.
