Hi Guys,

I am going to get my 2010 2.0 TFSi remapped soon at AMD for stage 1.

I was just wondering is it common practise the clutch will need to be replaced not long after or can it handle a stage 1 remap?

Cheers Luke

If you can, do your clutch while you have the funds. The OEM one is ****. Go for a sachs organic and OEM DMF for stage 1

Mine started to slip after a remap, but thats only in the cold, under around 8degree :p

As wuta says, the stock clutch is rubbish.

Some are fine at stg1 and some aren't.

You may be lucky but as most either move on to Stg2 or at least use the extra torque from stg1 then the clutch is likely to go at some point.

It's worth keeping the money handy.

hi mate if its the A3 you are talking about, the newer a3's have a different clutch which are stronger than the older ones. It should hold upto stage 2 with no problems.
