hi guys, im new to this so please dont hammer me if this is in the wrong thread.
recently had the dreaded flashing lights problem and kicking out of gear.
Bought brand new Dsg mechatronic unit at cost of £1340 last week,, now the car will not engage 3rd, it wil lselect 1st and 2nd fine but wont engage 3rd.
Does this need coded or programmed in?
i ws told this would learn itself to calibrate the gears??

any help required

I'm pretty sure they need coding/pairing to the car

yea seems to be, just panicked when it was put in and drove 1st and 2nd but no 3rd lol

it still is actually lol until the mechanic says this is now driving fine il not be calm , but he confirmed the dsg mechatronic was faulty so a new part should fix this.
anyone experienced this?

They must be calibrated to the car, they're not pnp.
