Audi S3 Belt Noise - advice please

Last night when checking my oil there seemed to be a "ticking" noise coming from the belt area which disappears when revving the engine, but then on the decline in revs when taking my foot off it seemed to tick faster then wind down if that makes sense? I have read on here that the 8P 2.0 TFSI engine is quite rattley, like a mild diesel engine noise, but wanted to check nothing bad is going on?
