Hi everybody,
Took the car to Lincoln Audi today for a free health check :thumbsup:
They've picked up a few bits, which was expected and two which I'd like some advice on please.
1. Static fault in memory. Defective control unit j285 (the price quoted to fix made my eyes water!)
2. EGR valve slightly leaking oil.
From what I've read I'll be taking the EGR valve off and giving it a clean which should solve that problem and save me the £480 to fix, am I thinking along the right lines with this?
Is there anything I can do to check the defective control unit? I'd rather have a look myself before splashing out that much cash.
On a happier note, the service was excellent and the car was cleaned
