Ive an A3 with an S3 dash fitted and when Audi replaced this with another S3 dash they told me that there would be no way this would work as the brake system was throwing up all kinds of errors and due to them coding it then they wouldn't take it back and my only option was to go and buy a standard A3 cluster unit, ya know only £775!!
So I looked for help in the forum and managed to get talking with NHN who managed to give me the retrofit coding to have this S3 dash in the car and without lighting up like a christmas tree!
Sure enough gave my local VAG centre the coding and all errors removed, so cheers Audi for not really knowing your stuff!!
