I've had my 140 tdi for about 8 months now, but I think I made a mistake and should have gone for a petrol. Not really sure what it is but I just think I prefer petrol engines. My DMF is vibrating which might be ruining the driving experience.
So I'm thinking about changing the car at the end of the year, either another A3 or an A5. I don't want an S3, as not overly fussed about all out performance. A friend has a 1.8 A5 and says he's getting about 45mpg on a motorway run, is that realistic? Due to the price difference with petrol/diesel I'd be more than happy with that.
So which is the most popular petrol, not interested in making modifications, just looking for the sensible option without it being boring.
