Hi guys,

Just looked at a car for my friend, all seems well except when we floor it, it only Revs to 4000rpm. In gear and in neutral. Now my s3 does this in valet mode.

Just wondering if you think this is the same?

My eml light flashes to tell me what settings its in but his shows no lights, no nothing.

Im yet to scan it.

Your thoughts?

No idea, but it will tell you if a sensors faulty so not letting it past 4k.
Is it being sold with a map on it or no idea?
 
They have no idea, typical trade seller that doesnt know what thier selling.

Ill update once ive scanned. No eml or wanings so i doubt it is a sensor fault but of course i cant rule that out.
 
Yeah my old car stored a code and no eml, keep us updated :)
 
Sorry, i completely got side tracked and never updated this, better late than never.

Well i found another thread on here with the exac same issue, his turned out to be the crank sensor, so i told my mate to potentially brace himself to get one.

Weirdly though, just as we were pullingminto the last few roads getting it home, it suddenly decided to rev fine, i can only assume there was some crap build up on the sensor that, after a good drive, has been washed off with the oil.
since then its been spot on
