Unlock button on fob does not work- Lock and boot pop do work

Hey guys, I only have 1 key for my car so i havent been able to do the resync where you leave one key in ignition then use the other- etc, but i tried the putting key in door handle and using buttons on fob then, and nothing happened either.

Is this likely a problem with my key or the button or something?

Have searched but all topics seem to be about 100% failure of the key which makes me think mine may be isolated to the unlock button only.

sounds like it needs a new micro switch in the fob

Only definitive way to know, is to check with vcds to see if its actually seeing the signals from both keys, ideally clear out all keys & resync the 2 again.

Had this problem myself last week thought the button was broken. All I did was remove the battery quick dust and blow around the battery housing then put the battery back in and not had a problem since.
