I assume they changed the central electrics module, so that would be the coding in module 09

Was this an Audi garage? Sound like a bunch of cowboys if they didn't notice all your lights flashing like a christmas tree. Then have the cheek to say no errors!! Staggering.

There wont be any errors, its a coding issue, go back get them to work through it.

thanks guys, took it back for a quick check and put it on the computer and it read no errors but did say there is a fault, and to be fair you cant see the lights flashing in the well lit garage, just at night then it looks like blackpool illuminations. Its not an Audi dealer just a local specialist which has a very good reputation, thought id try them as ive had bad dealings before with main dealers.Have booked it in and will ask them to look at the coding issue as one of you mentioned as i also dont think its wiring issue due to random flashing. Thanks for comments and feedback, will let you know the outcome.

thanks NHN, will mention what you've said and will see what crops up.Does re-codeing take much time as i would prefer to be there as they do it. Its also a problem leaving car as its 65 miles away so end up taking two cars and leave it with them , cheers.

Been back to the Audi specialist and plugged the computer back in. A fault code has come up on the climate control. No signal or intermittent signal is being received. The guy says its not a coding error and will need the car for a few days. Climate control display goes off and back on at random intervals but a/c still works. Small led dash lights and window switch etc still lighting up and flashing like mad.

well well , mystery solved with central control module. Turns out it was another faulty unit as this is now the 3rd one to be fitted. Owner Ben has been doing the work and has confirmed faulty units, has replaced and recoded and all is well. makes you wonder why so many units have failed and to how long this one will last.

thanks for all the input/feedback, much appreciated. Now that all this is done ,got to go and sort out our Renault Clio as the turbo has just given up.
