UK speed bump height

Is there a regulation for UK speed bump height?

I find that I'm scraping on most bumps after fitting my AP coilys. Any recommendations as to how high I should set them to pass over bumps without scraping?
 
There must be on adopted roads.

I find that non adopted road and private areas have ridiculously extreme speed bumps.

I find the whole concept of speed humps counter productive and damaging to vehicles and houses. I think there's better methods of traffic control
 
20ft round here, which when you factor in the surrounding potholes is more like 50ft.
 
Where I used to live they had speed bumps approx 2.5ft and it was on a big estate and a lot of people complained after damaging there cars when there going to fast in the end they re did them and made them 1.5ft the reason they are there is ovbs to cut speeding but also the estate is on a golf course
