Hi Guys,

I have had a strange clunking/knocking noise coming from the suspension or steering gear for a while now and just cannot figure it out. I am not too well versed in the suspension system but am confident enough to give it a go to fix. It seems to arise when turning right and/or when going over pot holes. It sounds like a lose rod of some sort. I have got under the car and not found anything loose. The car seems to randomly pull to one side when accelerating as well.
Anyone in the south east who could help me diagnose the problem at least? Or can anyone suggest a good mechanic who can help? I need to get the tracking done desperately as well so maybe ‘2 birds one stone’?

It is a 55plate 2.0 tdi a3.

Any advice or contacts would be much appreciated.

Seenan

Depends where in the south east.

I am in Grove Park but obviously willing to travel. How much would you charge just to have a look and steer me in the right direction?

AMD Essex are out to the east.

Do you think it is worth finding somewhere to do the 4 wheel alignment using that hunter system? or will AMD Essex do the trick? Are they reliable for remaps as well?
