Had some major works done with audi few months ago so assuming they took all my car details from then. Anyways the woman on the otherside of the phone was letting me know that my brake fluid needs refilling. I assume audi took note of when it would need changing from when my car was last in? Or is it a geuss from then and its just to get more £££ spent with them. Slightly anoying how she said to me it needs doing when do i want to book you in, without actually asking me if i want to book a appointment to have it done. Quoted me £39.99 worth going audi to have it done or take it to a specialist for possibly bit less £££?

I've had that from vw before saying my discs are worn out! To be fair they did get replaced shortly after but for aftermarket ones.

On audis site i thinks it's £59 so doesn't seem to bad if it's due.

See ive no idea if they are due or not tbh but when it was in last they did like a 140 point check on it and only advised me on tyres, but again im assuming they must of put down on their database when they think my brake fluid needs doing. BUT i dont drive the average miles people do as i dont commute to work and back every day. £40 doesnt bother me but it does if they fobbed me off lol might book it in couple weeks from now unless she rings again

ask em to give you a loan car whilst its in for a brake fluid change, see what they say :p

Brake fluid change has been changed from every 2 years to every 3 years. I assume they'll just be going off the age of your car?

£39.99 is a great price from a main dealer. Get it done, if you ever have the abs sensor fail and you want audi to fix it (watchdog vag problem well documented) you don't want them wriggling out because you didn't have the fluid changed

why is it so bad they call you
its a good reminder and a very good price.
they call me from time to time if the price is good it goes there if not i have the reminder and take it to a mate.

Not bad that they ring to remind but it was how the phone call went like i was expecting the call. I think its one of them youd understand if you heared it lol anyways few hours ago now so im gona get it booked in couple weeks from now when i have time

i get sales calls every day
its just how they work to get you have buy etc
just a script
but its a good price all the same

£40 is a good price, they will probably valet it too before they give it back lol. I think main dealers are trying to compete with indys now, see my thread lol!

its just pressure selling, they don't actually know what work needs doing but they go off what might need doing from the age/mileage of your car that they might have logged from a previous visit, or if they've noticed some bits may be on their way out and made a log on the file to ring you in the future
