P0183 - Fuel Temperature Sensor fault

I have this fault and it is pretty persistent, I put in a new sender, the fault stayed, I soldered on an new connector and the fault stayed.

I just saw that Ross Tech say check the fuse, anyone know which fuse to check?

Have you logged your fuel temps? Just wondered what VCDS was displaying.

What engine do you have? I logged my 2.0 TDI last week and when warmed up the fuel temp sat at 60 degrees. So I'd guess if yours is stuck at 39 the sensor might be iffy!

Its a 1.9tdi but its also a brand new sensor, I guess the sensor is just a resistor so I will try measuring it in hot and cold water.

Checked the sensor, 600ohms in a cup of hot water amd 10kohms under the cold tap, so the sensor is OK, has anyone else changes a fuse to fix this like recommended by Ross Tech? If there isn't a fuse the it must be a wire break somewhere pretty inaccessible.

Just check all fuses for any blown ones.
