Alright folks, I come to you from the RS side of things requiring a favour.

My mate has just bought an 8P with the following AMI ( or lack thereof ).

I've had an A5 with the AMI but I've never seen this configuration before, any help with what he needs for the AMI update would be appreciated.

Thats not AMI, thats the crappy iPod prep which works by showing playlists 1-6 as CDs iirc.

For AMI in the 8P you need RNSE Mk2 (part number ending 193) and the AMI kit for the RNSE.

Ahh, I see, so that connector at the back just plugs into the iPod? Not great but better than nothing, cheers min

The iPod just slides into it then you press CD twice I think.
