Hi all,
A few problems with my Audi A3. I bought it long distance and have had the clutch changed about 1000 miles ago which feels a lot better. Recently I have noticed that when I'm stopped and I put the car in neutral and release the clutch, I hear a grinding cyclic spinning rubbing noise which goes click click click click! Its driving me instance and I have not idea what it is. Another issue is that when I'm in first gear when accelerating or rolling the car makes another louder clicking noise whether the clutch is down or not. It does it a little in second but not as loud, the rest of the gears are fine.

Can someone let me know what it is and if I need to get the gearbox changed or refurbished?

The car is a Audi A3 1.4 TFSI 6 Speed 2010.

Did you have the release bearing/slave cylinder replaced as it sounds like the release bearing making the noise but I am pretty sure it's one unit.

Im not too sure but I had the clutch changed so I'm assuming that this includes the release bearing.
