Hi everyone,
I've been viewing the forum for the past few weeks, so thought i'd sign up and create my first post
My name is Heather and i'm from the South Wales area. I've recently just purchased my 1st Audi, a 2010 3dr S3 Black Edition in white. I've always wanted a white car! My two previous motors have been a 1.4 2005 Ford Fiesta and then a 2.0 2005 BMW Z4.
I've only had the car 2 weeks but I love it, it's quite a change to the zed but the S3 with the quattro is much more practical now that I drive over a mountain to work everyday (but still fun to drive)
I don't have much plans in terms of major mods for the car but i'm sure this may change after reading about what you guys have done with your motors. I do have a few questions though if anyone can help out with some advice please?
The car doesn't come with the sat nav, initially that doesnt bother me too much but I would definitely like to add a function that would let me charge/play songs from my iphone/ipod. I currently have the aux in but this doesn't charge/no control on the steering wheel. I was thinking about getting the RNS-E and the ipod connector, but after reading the forum sticky about theft's i'm now not too sure about the RNS-E. What are you thoughts on this? is it worth doing? and what is involved? i.e can I just purchase on eBay or do I need to get it installed by someone for coding it etc? or is it best to get Audi to do it (no idea about cost, but guessing it will be ridiculous!)
My only other concern about the car is that it came with a carbon look vynal wrap to the roof. I'm not sure about it to be honest, I like it but I also think it looks a bit too 'boy racer-ish' to me. What do you all think?
Here are some pics:
(p.s These are the only ones I have at the moment, from where I had the car... until this weather sorts itself out and I can get out and take some nice ones)
Anyways sorry for the long post, but thought it would be better to introduce myself first before asking for advice. Hopefully I can learn lots more from the forum in the coming months and hopefully contribute myself too.
Many thanks, Heather
