In need of a V8.
Hi All,
Getting most frustrated with my S3 now. My CEL light pops up with the following code:
008584 - Bank 1; System too Rich at Idle
P2188 - 008 - - MIL ON

Now I researched this code it and a lot of people were saying the HPFP seal had gone causing fuel to leak into the cylinder head. My oil also stank of fuel.
I've had in recent months:
New coil packs
New Spark plugs
New Loba HPFP + cam follower
New revision OEM Diverter valve
The CEL popped up again a couple of days after i replaced the HPFP and had an oil change. My oil now already stinks of fuel again and I'm now thinking it's an injector or MAF problem as my idle does misfire sometimes still.
When logging with VCDS Cylinder 3 misfires quite a bit on idle only, almost 30 times in a minute or two. I've swapped plugs and coils and the issue stays with cylinder 3.
I'm running a shark stage 1 map and my maximum G/S are:
Now 230 seems quite low to me but this could also be because I have a boost leak somewhere although all hoses look fine and I have no loud turbo spool noise apart from my Revo race CAI.
Help would be appreciated as this is already costing me a fortune and I don't want the fuel to eat any seals or bearings and cause a bigger bill!
