Hi.

Is it an easy, and cheap retrofit to do this on a 2011 A3?
Perhaps someone has a DIY guide?:)

Isn't a feature available on 8P (uk) cars I know of.

iv deffo seen a retrofit guide for this im sure. but just get onto the google and keep rephrasing the search till you find something.

The B6/7 had this but not ever seen on the 8P.

Well, i got my 8P3 from Germany. And when i scouted mobile.de for the right car, i came a cross one that was listed with glovebox cooling. So either the german salesmen is lying, or maybe it was an option i Germany?:)

From what i've seen on some cars its just another pipe that feeds to the glovebox. In theory could you not tap into one of the pipes, run another pipe off it into the glovebox?

It'd have to be done correctly to ensure the air flows well. No major bends and as small an angle of change from where it's tapped from as possible. Its prob more of a headache than its worth. But if could work out. Bare in mind theres nearly no space directly behind the glovebox. Theres space between the glovebox and stereo, same on the otherside, and a bit on top but the airbag is located there too.

Edit:
Just found this, but as NHN said its for the A4
