As the title says,

I'm spending some money on the car and one of the things I would like to do is fit the facelift airbag cover to my flat bottle steering wheel on the car.

can anyone tell me if this at all possible and if the link below would be the right part.

AUDI R8,A8,A3,TT AIRBAG COVER NEW | eBay

i obviously have the airbag in the original cover but is it just as simple as moving over bits??

thanks in advance

Yes you need to drill out the old rivets, remove airbag unit & then rivet new cover to bag chassis, but be very careful not to pierce the bag when drilling out old rivets & make sure all straight & not of center :)

When you say I'd need to you know this will more than likely mean you, how's things pal?

I've noticed a very small bit to the outer edge looking like its ready to come away. It's just where the new cover has had the chrome ring put round so guess it was an issue on others.

Is it an expensive change or is a small repair more advisable?
