Hi all, I bought this std car not long ago with just under 18000 miles on the clock. I had no intentions of modifying it, But after a few months of owning her I can't resist any longer! I've just received a nice new set of 19"bbs CHRs in satin anthracite. Im ust waiting on tyres and to lower on springs for now.. I might invest in coilovers soon.
After spending quite a few thousand on my mk2 golf and a silly amount of hours it's quite hard to leave a car std now :/
It still has Audi warranty so I won't go mad until that's up.
My brother is an audi tech and dad audi master tech so that will come in handy
All I've done so far is fit a new black optics grill and fogs and had the std wheels powder coated in anthracite.
My only other plans are possibly a recaro interior, milltek, and remap. Not too low as i enjoy being able to drive this.
I've just bought the mrs a sweet 2011 red sportback black edition tdi so she can't moan about the mods to this one. Which she was before as it was 'our' car :/ now I can call it my own hopefully ha i will get some pics up of the a3 soon.

Love the anthracite wheels mate! Cant decide whether to do mine black or, antrhacite :/ I have a silver S3...
The buckets would finish that car off perfectly ;)

Cheers Dave, just waiting for the perfect set to pop up somewhere and they will be in there! I'm a bit (very) fussy so it might be a while :/
id go for a dark anthracite if I was you! Needs to be a good contrast to the silver.

Nice mate and I see you have the Alcantara option on the seats, nice aren't they?

Much better than full leather in my opinion, not cold in winter or too hot in summer.

Yes muzza80 I wasn't keen on it at first as I quite like the std leather. But much prefer it now! I'll probably end up going for alcantara if/when I get recaro's. The grey alcantara centres tie in nicely with wheels and other grey trims on the car too

Yeah the side bolsters wear a little bit on buckets, they have done on mine but from Some others I've seen, mine are in real good Condition :D

Thanks Nilz,

I love this photo and the fact that your brother has one. Does he have any mods done to his? Also I think the first pic you put up of the car is stunning. Do you plan on mapping it as even a stage 1 totally transforms the car (you think its a great car now try a mapped one)

My brothers is std and will probably stay that way. It's loaded with all the optionals! Apart from buckets :/
After working at audi for nearly 10 years they are his favourite car all round for every day driving and he hasn't come across one yet with any major issues. I was sold on his recommendation and after seeing how happy I've been with mine he had to get one of his own!
I am looking forward to getting it mapped as I know il love it! But I'm not in a hurry, il probably go straight to stage 2 or 2+ when it comes out of warranty or when I've talked my bro into fitting an uprated clutch ;)

That's the problem Dave-s3 most people are pretty lazy when getting in and out of a car as I have found out with my mk2! I have to give people a lesson before getting in and out and definitely no jeans or belts with sharp rivets etc! I even made the mrs strip down to her pants once to get in as her jeans were soaking from the rain! I'm a little OCD with my cars :(

Lol okay I'm not that bad, audi leather is generally the best leather going, so long as its treated right it will stay in perfect condition, If your that picky maybe get a set & have them retrimmed, a two tone colour looks amazing on audi buckets!

Ha I think that's what il end up doing! My mk2 was retrimmed in black nappa by mj interiors, it's factory finish! I would use them again for this

Their prices look pretty good too! Go for it, buckets are awesome & certainly make the car look better, inside & out!

Just fitted, only just rolled off the ramp so should settle in a bit.. Nothing exciting but a good quality set of wheels :) and eibach springs sits pretty nice to me!

Looks lovely , those wheels are one of the best designs IMO

Hey mate... Welcome to the forum, cars looking real nice...

Where abouts you from?

I really like the new wheels. Could you please send me a PM if you are looking to sell your previous wheels?

Cheers guys! Sorry Curley89 my bro wants them for his :/

Super cool MK2 :icon_thumright:

Spec?

Its had full respray by myself around6 years ago...I used to paint cars for a living. It's Audi nimbus grey with brand new doors, wings, bonnet, all new seals, glass, trims. Full mj black nappa re trim. Full engine rebuild it has its original 1.8 8v but has tsr big valve head 202 cams and stainless four branch with Jetex system. Goes pretty well for what it is. People are always surprised to hear what's in it after having a little 'play' on the road. I had planned g60 with Bahn brenner screw charger. But u was struggling to convince my old man and bro to take on the conversion! :/ so...I bought the s3! The mk2 only comes out on dry days

The alcantara interior will be up for sale very soon. If anyone is interested give me a shout! It's pretty much mint! Any ideas on what it's worth? I have no idea! It's also heated with electric lumbar adjustment!

emm.. I just looked that up on the map... Think it might be a courior job ha... Couldnt have been further away.. Ha sods law

Haha yes couldnt be much further! Ive got to drive to lancashire to pick mine up on sunday, that could have cut the journey... but i dont think il be able to sort taking mine out before then. Or have time to fit the new one before work on Monday.
il try find out a value asap.
I would like to keep it if I had somewhere to store it, but I don't :/ (I need a bigger house...can't see that coming any time soon with all this money blowing on the car ha )

New upgrade purchased today. I now require 2 black leather panelled rear cards with piano black trims preferably. If you have or know anyone with some for sale let me know.. Cheers

Early upgrade. I wasn't even looking and I found this interior by luck. had to get it...photos do it no justice.
