hi, just thinking about getting rid of those nasty looking yellow DRL's on my 56 plate s3.

has anyone tried these before?

I had led drl bulbs with resistors before I facelifted the car. Works well and have installed this same setup on a few other cars

Here are the bulbs I used:
CANBUS 382 (P21W) 27 WHITE SMD LED ERROR FREE BULBS | eBay

And the resistors:
50w 6 ohm LOAD RESISTORS FOR LEDS OBC ERRORS CLEARED ! | eBay
