Got a 2007 A3 TDI 170 bhp Quattro with approx 48000 Miles on it.
Last Summer while driving it once or twice the yellow coil warning light started flashing and it felt like a loss of power.
I would turn the Car off, start the Car Up again and all would be Fine.
Just this Last Weekend when driving to the Shop it came on again, turned off the car, went shopping (approx 15 min), drove home with the coil light flashing again, but this Time the yellow Engine warning light came on too.
The Shop is 3 miles away so i parked the Car outside the house Sat night.
Tomorrow Morning i want to drop the car off at the garage, so quickly wanted to start her Up tonight to See if the light was still on.
When doing so i noticed a red message stating "Low Oil Pressure" and there is some oil underneath the car.
Anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

In days of old I am pretty sure the flashing coil light while driving indicated a faulty brake light switch, a scan with vcds will give you some answers but a visual inspection for your oil issue wouldn't go a miss.
