Hi all

There appears to be a million threads on this topic, but each one has its own circumstances and no clear answers, so I'm hoping for a very simple solution to my question once I present all the facts... :)

I have a 2007 Audi A3 Sportback SE 1.6 FSI.

It has the following:
  • Audi Concert double din stereo
  • Audi iPod dock in the glove compartment
  • Audi basic bluetooth phone connectivity
  • Multi-function steering wheel
  • Shark fin

I'm hoping to swap the Concert for an RNS-E unit that will add functionality to the *very* basic iPod and bluetooth setup I currently have, as well as the added bonus of the sat nav.

Will it be a simple case of removing the Concert and plugging in the RNS-E along with the GPS receiver?

I would be incredibly grateful for some help.

Thanks in advance.

You will need it fully coded by someone with VCDS to get all the functionality working.

I just fitted one to my 2010 S3 Sportback and it had basically the same as you, ipod dock, basic bluetooth, mfsw. Strange that yours has the sharkfin though, that was only fitted with the RNSE from factory as I understood it?

Where are you?

Hey, thanks for the reply.

I'm based in Northern Ireland.

Near Ballymena!

I'm far from a petrol head but I do love my A3.
