Hi guys, turned my car on this morning and while I was sitting waiting for it to warm up, heard a strange sound I have never heard it make before.
Its kinda like a robotic squeak, just for a second or 2 then it stops for about 10-15 seconds, then does it again, repeat. After it had warmed up I didn't hear it anymore. Parked up at work, came back to it this afternoon and started her up...and it happened again.
Im not sure how to describe it to you, if it happens again I'll record it. To anyone who's ever had a power loading cd / dvd, its a similar type of noise...mechanical, robotic, high pitch.
I have a 2010 A3 Sportback with the 2.0 TFSI engine.
Any ideas what it could be? Should I be worried?
