Hello

I bought a Aux vw kit for my audi a3 radio... however it only works if you have the plug for the cd changer...

My radio has the built in cd changer, bluetooth , steering wheel controls and Tape deck (yuck)

When i took the radio out i found this mystery blue wire... could i somehow tap into that?

if not what options do i have to retain blue tooth..ect

i dont want to use a tape adaptor
thanks
Greg

That is a connector for your console switch pack, someone has either unplugged from one of the console buttons like esp etc or it was fitted from factory & left unplugged due to a system not being fitted.

Which connector type has your aux kit got?

Doesn't the aux plug go into the bottom socket (red/orange plug) if it's empty? You then press the CD button twice to access it. It replaces an external CD changer.

You can buy 2 kits, 1 is iso like your radio connections & other is quadlock which is useless to you, normally the aux iso has an adapter or pins to push into the holes of existing connector.
