Hello

I'm wanting to fit the tyre pressure monitoring system to my lasses A3 but I can not find out where to get the switch and wiring loom from.

anyone help me on this

I have it fitted to my Mk5 golf which I retrofitted, got the loom from kufatac website, but they don't have these for the A3.

coding not a problem as I already have VCDS.

cheers Dan

If the A3 has the MK60 EC1 ABS Module then it'll just need tyre pressure monitoring enabling via VCDS it is then reset through the DIS rather than having its own dedicated button.

Ok would the 2008 pre facelift have that particular ABS module, I take it to find out I'll need to plug it into VCDS and that will tell me?

Cheers Dan

Not sure on the year they were fitted from to be honest, I suspect post facelift but someone on here will be able to tell you for definate I'm sure.

If you plug into VCDS though you're looking for this bit;

No fault code found.

If you've got that module then it's nice and easy! :)

Unfortunately looks like my lasses A3 has a different Module.

Ah that's likely the same module as on your Mk5 Golf, so the procedure for retrofitting I would imagine to be the same.

Whilst not having the vehicle specifics etka suggests the part # for the switch on a 2008 A3 should be 8P0 927 121 A. Might be worth a call to Audi for a price, obviously get them to double check the fitment is right for the car before any purchase though.

One last thought, the kufatec loom for the Golf may well work for the A3 too as they share a number of electrics. Might be worth a call to them to ask, if not looms aren't too difficult to make...

check the sticker in the boot the one with tpms and hill hold has a 1AT order code . same code can be found in the service book on the inside cover .

There has been 2 good threads on activating TPMS and retro-fitting it. Quite a lengthy process and afew have been involved in sending scan reports and data so that NHN and James I believe could study it all. Have a look for them coz they are a very interesting read.

Only very new cars like 2010 onwards iirc could do dis tpms, so yours would need the button, I think mines an AC & works, just try coding it & see if abs accepts it, if not then no point buying the button etc.

I did a massive thread on here with Silky on this... Scout it out and that will help you if you need to activate via VCDS.
