haldex filter

just seen my car hasnt had its oil changed in its haldex filter, what brand and strength oil recommended? ive got a 56 plate 2.0 TFSI 8p 200bhp quattro cheers, its done 51k mileage, would you replace the filter too?

Although it is probably a good idea, the gen 2 haldex is a sealed for life unit meaning the manufacturer says it doesn't require any maintenance.

In answer to your question, I'm not sure what grade it is but it's not much from Audi, I would do the filter too.
 
Replace them both really mate no point doing either on there own. £112 from TPS for the parts for mine 2008 S3 ( I think its the same) Audi tool is about £25 on ebay.
 
Local indy charged £45 incl all parts labour and VAT
 
Hmm, im confused why TPS told me so much money for the parts if garages are doing it for so cheap!?

Can anybody clarify that the link has the correct oil & filter in it? Going to do mine next week TPS still quote me £112 so im a little confused!
 
Had mine done recently. Had other stuff done too so cant remember cost of just haldex service. Although the local indy who done it didnt change the filter as my haldex is a sealed unit.
