which iPods fit?

My 2009 A3 with standard double DIN single CD slot, Concert2+ head unit which has an iPod connection in the glove box.
Just wondering which iPod devices are compatible with the connector in the glove box.
Also have a bag of small plastic adaptors for the iPod slot.

It will work on allot of Apple devices, but some may not charge & then some may not work with audio, all fixable via adapter cables of ebay, but hit & miss tbh, none will display track etc data though.
