Hi,

Recently installed coilovers on my 2009 S3 that had electronic dampers (same as "Magnetic ride"?), there is now a yellow warning light on the dash in the shape of a shock absorber.

Q1 - Is there any way to code out this warning with VCDS?

Q2 - Does this kit work? -http://www.moddedeuros.com/products/kw-edc-cancellation-kit-68510144

The ESP button does not work when pressed, I scanned it with VCDS and no related fault codes came up. I'm assuming it is to do with the electronic damping fault?

Q3 - Is there another way to reactivate ESP button without fixing the electronic damping fault?

TIA

You've replaced your mag ride or you have fitted an electronic system to a standard spring/shock car?

If you just swapped your mag ride for std coilovers then you may need to reconsider and buy the correct dampers for a mag ride car - why would you want to lose this useful feature?

I installed kw coilovers to my 2010 S3 that had magnetic ride fitted for original owner( I didn't like them) and I bought a delete kit from them that plugs into the original wiring harness and mounts to a small box you mount in the wheel arch. It prevents any warning lights coming on. I suppose you could buy this separately even if you don't have kw coilovers.

Replaced mag ride with aftermarket coilovers.

These aftermarket coilovers are the most cost-effective way to drop the car to the exact ride height I wanted. What correct dampers for mag ride car are you referring to? I assume they would be quite expensive.

Thanks. Is this the same delete kit that came with your KW coilovers? Home Page ES#2608438 Electronic Dampening Cancellation Kit - 68510144

I don't have KW but will probably get these if the warning light cannot be coded through VCDS.

That looks like it yes. When my car went into an Audi specialist prior to me installing the delete kit they said they could not code it to stop the light coming on as without anything connected to the car wiring it was classed as an open circuit.

More than likely you could disable mag ride with vcds & disconnect the controller/switch.

Like AdriansS3 mentioned, have not yet heard anyone who was able to code/disable it through VCDS.

Your driving an S3 with mag ride, I'm sure you could have arranged something :yum:

I'm poor:p, bought the S3 used, V3 with EDC delete would have been almost 15% of what I paid for the car, can't really justify it.
