Hi.

I'm looking at buying a new rear caliper has anyone had problems with there's before. Can't decide if I should buy or get it reconditioned

Thanks in advance

Yup, rear calipers siezing is common. When the pads are worn down, the piston is right out and open to the elements.

I got a replacement OEM part from Euro for £150 exchange. Think there just reconditioned, but are in as new condition. Audi wanted £440!

Euro it is haha. Only problem my calipers are red. Don't know if they came standard like that or anything

Hmmm, well there not red from Euro, Easily painted mind, could be worth getting and fitting both sides. Wish I had now just for peace of mind!
