Hi, how do I know what variant of audi a3 I have? It's a 2004.

trying to get sum blades for my wipers from ebay an its displays what variants the blades will fit.

incidentally any good trusted sellers from experience anyone from there?

Hi mate, thanks for the reply, don't think they will fit a 2004 going by the info on models that make fits?

;) No? I'm clueless when it comes to car....is variant the year it is?

A3's are all 8P from 2003-2012

On asn we use the terms 8P1, 8P2 and 8P3... 8P1 2003-2005... 8P2 2006-2008... 8P3 2009+ ... there really should be an 8P4 but thats another matter i'll not confuse you with ha....

They blades Lee has suggested are for your car considering yours is a 04 and they are 04>

8P4?? if the chassis changes it's no longer an 8P

Its not the chassis i'm talking bout tho... 8P1,2,3 etc were all determined with facelifts were they not.. but nobody ever seems to mention the facelift in 2011...

Not so much a facelift as such, but there were changes

I think the 8P1,2,3 only applies to the frontend and rear, to help identify and facelift. Front and rear remains unchanged within each year group. I thougt you meant a cabriolet, but I checked it's an 8P as well. Think I've only seen one.

No mate ha... I cant remember the exact letter of the cab 8p..? .... I always thought any changes to the exterior of the vehicle was always regarded as a facelift (loose term).. they changed the rear clusters and also added the smaller folding mirrors aswell as the rotors to a 2011 car.. so if someone is talking about mirrors or standard wheels on a 8P3 then whose to know if they are the dumbos or the smaller folding mirrors, or the speedlines or the rotors, when talking about standard rims.. so thats why I was thinking to go along with the terms then to be clear 8p4 could have been a suggestion?

everyone always puts MY11.. but never MY09 or MY06.. I was just thinking why not 8P4?

8P3.5 hehe, mirrors that fold in and up, very minor changes though as you guys have said. Diggz was like one of the first guys to turn a 8P1 into a 8P3, just goes to show how little it changed and that you can make a 2003 a3 look like a 2012 one

Oh ok, I get what you mean, MY09 is used on this site. There is also the MY11 gloss black b pillars, think that's it for the exterior.

Think all the MY09 stuff started with gtrs model naming lol

so if my car is a 2004, is it a

8p1 2003-2012

or a

8pa 2004-2013 ?
