Are these two parts the same?

I searched around because i need a new door lock switch and found this part number to the one i need;

8P2962108

But can any one tell me if the above part number is the same as the following part number;

8E2962108

Hi, did you ever find out, There seem to be plenty 8E2 part number lock switchs on ebay but no 8P2 part number switchs.

Hi, know sorry never found out and your right there is a load of the 8E2 if i can find one cheap enough i might give it a try. If not looks like the dealer to get one.
