No response from accelerator? Any ideas?

So I get in, start the car and stick it in reverse (DSG gearbox) on a slight incline, release the brake and hit the accelerator... car rolls down! I try again, and once more the car simple rolls down with no feedback from the accelerator and no reverse motion whatsoever. At this stage I'm inches from the car in front and alarm bells are ringing so I stick it in P and hit the accelerator to see if it revs, and nothing at all, just idles.

Turn her off, switch her back on and everything's fine again Any ideas what on earth went on? It's a 55 plate DSG if that's of any relevance.

Does the dis show you changing from P, to R to D etc?

Ah crap, I didn't actually check when it happened. However even whilst in P, I got no feedback when the accelerator was pressed.

Hasn't happened after that, I've tried starting car from cold again etc and it still seems fine now.
