Hi

Basically have an A3 3.2 V6 which want to lower it over this weekend at local garage, need to order either coilovers or spring and shocks... but not which one to go for, honestly I was looking DPM website and pricing is quite close, however I know that I won't be adjust height at all and I'll keep it the same but not what's the lowest I could go for...

I've had lowered my A3 1.8 T FSI before with H&R springs for around 200 from DPM and was very please with it... I think it was lowered about 45~55 mm and really liked it...

But with this car coz I'm going to do FULL S3 conversion, I mean front bumper, bonnet, wings, mirrors, spoiler, side skirts and rear bumper along with BBS alloys, so considering all of that and the weight of this car, what's the best lowering that you guys would reckon for the budget of around 500, not strict so could stretch it a bit more but that depends if it's going to be huge amoung of difference on ride for daily basis driving...

Cheers guys,

Here is the list...

And what's the difference between the two...

Springs and shocks (NOT SURE WHICH ONE)
DPM - Audi A3 8P Springs & Shocks

Thanks guys,
Appreciate any help :)

If your not looking to adjust then I assume personally that coilovers would be a waste really! And as you know your preferred lowered height then go for a set of dampers and h&r springs.

h&r coilovers. order them but ask for the V2 spring as it is a half a turn longer and gives you more lowering options

the expensive one has the dampening adjustable, whereas the cheaper one is set at 30% more solid than stock and cant be changed

Honesty I will be using it daily basis car and not want to mess about the height all the time ...

Or should I go for the spring and shocks instead!?!

I'm thinking to lower about 45mm

Cheers

The car has only covered 37k and not sure if the current shocks are good enough with h&r springs...

Or should I change the shocks as well

Cheers
