It's a 140TDI S-Line with a few extras. Full Audi history and generally very nice.

I like it :)

Plan is to get a few bits of.bodywork done, map it, fit an RNS and enjoy it.

Why do people refer to the 8P section as the 'dark side'?

why a diesel though just out of curiosity i would thought you'd go for a 2.0 t quattro knowing you mate :p
 
In all honesty; I didn't want a diesel.

But this came up and it was the right spec, the right condition and most importantly the right colour.

It also happened to be half of the right price.

100,000 miles, full Audi history and one owner from new. What do you guys think it is actually worth? I thought about 7 or is that miles out?

I didn't pay anywhere near 7, that's just what they seem to be on Autotrader for similar cars.

Anywho, I am enjoying it :)

I am looking to install an RNS setup or similar, but not really sure what the changes with them are or which one to get.

I also fancy fitting park sensors and Xenons. All in good time of cause.
 
RNS isnt all that, if going from std maybe a decent double din would be a better choice and considerably cheaper.

Id still be tempted to rip my RNS out and stick a double din in instead.
 
maybe start with a turbo upgrade from darkside developments some suspension and maybe 2010 front :D we are as horrible as the 8L section when it comes to enticing you for new mods, congrats on the new purchase .. as long as you're happy thats what matters.. and finally are you keeping the 8L or...

If I wanted power, I would buy a TFSI. And compared to my 8L it's a huge visual improvement, so I shouldn't be needing to do too much :)

I don't think I will be keeping the 8L, I have a friend who wants to buy it. And I would rather see it used than not being used.

I miss the 8L very much for obvious reasons, but the 8P is such a nicer car in every aspect.
 
This is a full on copy and paste affair from another forum.

This is going to be a project to get it mint again rather than spending money on making it go fast or whatever, I just want it smart and to drive as nicely as it does now.

Yesterday I lightly polished it with Autobrite Cherry Glaze just because it was all I had in my mini kit, I then refined that a little with Black Hole and an applicator pad. Then late last night I waxed it with Dodo Juice Blue Velvet.

I cleaned the interior with diluted Autofinesse APC, which has made a huge difference. I never realised the steering wheel was contrast stitched until I cleaned all the make up out of the wheel!

I am happy with the paint work itself now, just looking to enhance it with some Angelwax Dark Angel on payday.

The interior plastics have all been stripped and cleaned with Autofinesse APC then refined and protected with Megs trim protector. (Which smells like ****)

On pay day I will order some Angelwax Dark Angel from Brotek and refine the paintwork further.

It is booked into the bodyshop for some refreshing next week.

Nice choice. Definately get a 2012 RNS-E, finishes the centre console off perfectly and has 2 x 32gb SD cards slots for music.
 
Love it jardo great choice get down to rtech ASAP !! Niki did mine a few weeks ago 170bhp 315ftlb torque !! And loads of room for more got to love TDI it's the future :)

Hey Bobby how you doing brother!

I am enjoying the dark side, as I know you are too. I'm going to hold off mapping it until I get bored, but as you know there is only one place I would ever take it.

The FAQ section in 8P isn't as good as in 8L, I am looking for all the must do mods and little bits people do to 8P's and it's not listed or detailed anywhere.

Must do mod, definitely some my09 or my11 lights, makes a HUGE difference to the back end. The only difference between then two is the my11 is slighty darker, which will obviously suit black better.

I think NHN can supply them brand new.

Oh and they are astraight swap, takes five mins! :)

Nice car, S3/3.2 brake upgrade is a must do imo. Saved me a few times lol

They do pop up for sale every now and again, gotta be quick though.

Theres also a mk1 rns-e in the classifieds rather cheap, ideal if you plan on fitting some sort of adaptor to get aux-in/iPod connections

car looks pretty clean, can see why u like black, one idea for mods would be the Leon Cupar splitter ;)

cheap in expensive mods include as Cozza said you got the tail lights, S3 pedals, Audi Exclusive gearknob, RNSE, TTS engine cover, MY 10-11 window buttons, and light switch,

you could also get S3 brakes but i dont think you need that as your not chasing any performance but AS OF YET :p
 
Thanks guys! Shopping list is growing :)

I have got a half day today, so this afternoon I am going to prep the paint work ready for a proper correcting and waxing tomorrow. I have got a test sample of a fall out removal foam which I am going to try; I'm concerned it's basically cilit bang but the company I am testing it for ensure me it is safe to use.

So this afternoon it is getting foamed, clayed and potentially fine cut. Them tomorrow I will glaze it with Dr Beasleys and wax it with the last of my Angelwax Desirable.

I love the front of it, I can't stop taking pictures!

Rear lights are expensive so they might have to wait until next month. But the other little bits are quite accessable.

I am going to remove the grab handles from the center console and plastidip them black to fill in the scratches etc too.

Thanks for the pointers guys, I shall get the ball rolling tomorrow :)

i have to be honest though the 8Ls till appeal massively to me atleast still dabbling with the thought of owning another one
