Id love that, they are just stronger struts basically arent they?
 
Loves like a pretty cool, little mod that doesn't take too long.

Would be interesting to see price of parts to do it.
 
Plus the lock needs to be coded via VCDS to fully open the catch. That's providing the coding option is part of Audi's list.
 
As nice a mod as it seems, I'm one of those that's accidentally caught the key in my pocket and walked away from the car with the hatch popped - luckily it happened in a secure parking compound & nothing came of it.
 
Its been done time and time again.

The boot struts rub on the paintwork as they more powerful and therefore thicker.

The pegs which they push onto over time are literally torn from the body work too.

Not worth it AT ALL.
 
doesn't work on audi. tried it myself. it's handy when your hands are full :D
