So the first garage I went too (where I spent about 2k) was a nightmare, when I asked for prices on things they said "we can't tell you as we may come across problems, we'll tell you when the work is done" same went for when I asked when I would have my car back "the work will be done when it's done", and in the end, they gave me the car back in a worse state than when it went in and ended up spending about 6 weeks trying to resolve various issues. Even after all of that it's still not right, obviously fuming over this, i've decided to cut my losses and take it elsewhere.

The second garage I haven't had any work done at but I took it in asking them to tell me what the resonance sound was coming from the rear of the car (having a fairly decent idea of what it was already) they tried to tell me it was the exhaust when it clearly wasn't as I kept trying to explain to them, but they took it into the garage for a day to check it over, came back and after slagging the car off said they didn't want to touch it because it was "modified".

I'm just getting generally tired of garages, as the one's i've been to so far seem incompetent.

Does anyone know of a garage in Leeds that isn't going to cost the world + specialises in Audi and can resolve a problem without necessarily just reading off the screen?

I've got a few problems with my car and I just want to be able to take it into a garage, get them to do a full check and come back with the results of what needs to be done - none of the wheeler dealer antics or smoke and mirrors, just honesty!

It's always worth taking the take to two/three garages before leaving deciding upon something

Amongst other things, it just doesn't "feel" right to drive, or sound right either. I can't put my finger on what exactly but that's why I would need a specialist - to be able to drive her and tell me what's wrong.

The main things are:
the clutch has random bite points (its a brand new clutch, seems to be dependant on torque?), resonance noise from the back at 70mph (pretty sure this is the rubber donut in the propshaft), startup sounds like it's choking, really struggles on cold mornings (possibly related with previous point).

Another vote for Statllers in sheffield ,i reckon you will be right about the resonation coming from the shaft bush though if you reckon its not the exhaust,what clutch have you had a single mass ?

There are no decent garages in west yorkshire. Just a bunch of b*stards.
