Guys please help, car has been running fine but for the last few days been a pain to start, only since the dark nights, this morning just about started drove to work with lights on,but when I finished work it would not start battery dead,so I carry a battery pack and it started no problem,But the power steering alarm on the dash came on and was like driving a tank home.
When I got home and engine running I checked voltage at the battery to check alternator 14.5 volts,so decided to buy new battery, fitted battery car starts ok but still have steering warning lamp on dash.

Any help appreciated

Have you drove it after fitting the new battery?

Hi lee,yes took it or a run still the same :(

Haaaa mine went of after i went for a run and turned some corners as i had the wheel off, was hoping be as simple as that for you.

You may need the faults clearing & then driving of, but the fact it hasn't gone maybe means it needs recalibrating with vcds.

Ideally you need to ascertain if the new battery is also losing charge when standing or its ok now, before fixing the light.

You need to check the battery draw when all is locked up & 30 minutes after locking to allow for all systems to shutdown fully.
