Last week I had a pretty bad flat (12 psi) yet I wasn't warned from the system, so I filled them up, reset it by holding the tyre pressure button on the dash and then carried on going.

Turns out I had a nail in the tyre so it went flat pretty quickly soon after and still wasn't warned by the system.

Not 100% sure how the system works, is it a sensor in the wheel? I thought these things are meant to be reliable....

The sensor is on the ABS as far as I remember - just keep an eye on tyre pressures. Mine works but IMO it tells me quite late on and sometimes there have been large pressure differences between the two front tyres before it alarms.

I have a retro fit guide in my build thread which will give you an idea of locations and operation.
