    Brake Pad Warning Light Question

    Hi All,

My brake pad warning light has come on. However, my pads are extremely healthy. There is a little lip on the discs but nothing to be concerned about.

Any idea why this could be?

Someone told me it could be the lip cutting through the wire, but I'm not convinced.

    Any ideas?

Pads should wear evenly, so I would remove the wheel & check the wiring to see if its been damaged/perished, could be water in a connection aswell, given todays downpours.

Yeah Kent, Sussex, Surrey & London had some lovely rain today, as I was in all 4 areas & got soaked whilst doing folding mirror install on an a4 ,which was fun that's for sure, when the doors are stripped & then torrential rain & cant close the windows lol.

I had the same turned out the wiring that plugged into the pads was faulty costs a few ££ to fix i believe.

Yeap, repaired the same for a member on here, its a new loom tbh & needs feeding into the bay & cutting old one & soldering/heatshrink so new parts are water tight in arch area.

The loom comes as pad warning and abs sensor.
