REF Limp Mode,
Have had the typical problem when accelerating in 4th under load, Had it looked at a few times, codes read etc, garage noticed yesterday that a vacumn hose ???? (whats this, from where to where -any idea??) had be re-routed wrongly when the turbo was changed and has worn thin rubbing on the drive shaft, possibly closing over under load causing limp mode!! Anyone got any thoughts on this as being viable? Any one explain this hose or have a pic of it???

Rubbing on the shaft, you'd be lucky if it was long enough if its the actuator vacuum pipe, we would need to see the codes, but if in 4th its limping then I'd say turbo atm, based on purely diagnosis of 2 posts.

Turbo most likely.

Happens a lot on the BKD engine.

Turbo is only a yr old and has been cleaned recently, the pipe is the one which runs from the bottom of the turbo to the control box on the bulkhead apparently

Yeap I know the vacuum pipe, but still need the logs.

Took it to a guy with vcds but never showed up!!! So took it to a garage and the generic code reader came up with code 379 boost pressure control deviation negative - any help???
