What oil for my car? 2.0 TDI BKD

As the title suggests. Mobil website states 5w-30 however I have also seen some saying
5w-40. Can anybody confirm for me what it should be. I have used 5-30 in the past but been told this is wrong by my mechanic.
 
Castrol edge fully synthetic 5w30, does the job.

^^^ thats the one i use also keep an extra one in the boot just incase
 
I used Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40, car runs smooth & quiet. Got it from a reputable dealer on Ebay & saved a bundle!:arco:
 
How dyou get the model of car you have to appear on bottom of your post?
